Programmable control system for automation

With its new analysing electronics Bernstein has developed an innovative programmable control system for automation engineering applications.

With its new analysing electronics Bernstein has developed an innovative programmable control system for automation engineering applications. This new system pro-vides the user with a high degree of flexibility and a broad range of configuration op-tions. The PCS can be used with a menu controlled operating system for rotary speed que-ries, analogue signal evaluation, level or position analysis and operating point evaluation.

Standard sensors, NAMUR sensors, analogue sensors with 5/24 V current or voltage outputs can be used as sensor inputs.

The input signal parameters can be pro-grammed through the menu or the PCS can learn the required operating points/rotary speeds.

This feature allows the operator to set or program the system while in opera-tion so that tolerances can be reduced to a minimum.

The unit is equipped with five potential-free relay contacts to be used as outputs.

The analysing electronics can, if necessary, be divided among two functional units, so that the user has two separate configurations at his disposal.

This innovative feature provides a high degree of flexibility in configuration and installation.

Despite the broad range of functions, the PCS and the analysing electronics can be operated without previous experience.
